THE ROTARY CLUB of HAMPTON'S 15th BIRTHDAY

Hampton Rotary members  celebrated their 15th Birthday with a week end away on the 23rd and 24th of October 2010, down at the Bellarine Peninsular. Greg and Helen Wragg generously put together a program of wine tasting and feasting, aided by hosts Phil and Carolyn.

GUESS WHO IS COMING FOR DINNER?

Hampton Rotary members are enjoying a series of dinners with mystery guests and hosts. A club member volunteers to host a dinner without knowing whom his/her guests will be, other than they are fellow Rotarians or friends of Rotary. The guests learn who their host is just before leaving for their night out. A great opportunity for socialising in small groups of 6 or 8, while experiencing some delicious food.

SAILING NIGHT

Every year in late February or early March, Hampton Rotarians and friends bravely sail forth towards the setting sun on Port Phillip Bay. We always take our incoming GSE team along for the ride, and 2010 saw the girls from Turkey enjoying a view of Melbourne form the sea. The sailors arive back hungry, wet, and exhilarated to tuck into a traditional Australian BBQ next to a view of the Bayside Sandringham Yacht  Club

FOOTY TIPPING COMPETITION

The Rotary Club of Hampton's annual Footy Tipping is once again in full swing. Many thanks to Carolyn Ryan for organising this popular event.

SOUP AND GREAT COMPANY

Image

Hampton Rotary members and friends enjoyed a social lunch provided by the very generous Garners on Sunday 13th September2010. Dick Garner showed us his culinary skills in cooking 4 different kinds of delicious soup, together with irresistible fresh bread, cheese, pate and other accompaniments. Fresh fruit and chocolate torte complimented the meal beautifully.

Guests brought their own wine, lubricating all extremely well. A great deal of fun and laughter occurred, and even some Rotary business was slyly slipped in.

A very simple, effective idea. Many thanks to Dick and Sue Garner.
